Below please find my teaching philosophy:

It is an honor and indeed a privilege to teach. I frequently ask myself the question, why do I teach? I keep coming back to the same answer; it is because of my passion to help others become successful entrepreneurs, managers, and business leaders.

This desire has become my personal Mantra: “Help students become successful one individual at a time”.

Teaching at Webster University gives me the opportunity to operationalize this Mantra. Entrepreneurship, Strategy, Innovation, Management, and Leadership as academic disciplines and research topics intrigue me. Bridging the gap between theory and practice within these disciplines is at the heart of all my pedagogical approaches. The interactions with students keep me focused and committed to my work as an educator. In my experience as an educator I have found that students go the extra mile, do that extra research, read that extra article, if they realize that you care about them and their success.

Students face a difficult future due to globalization of the economy and the constantly evolving industries. Students need our help to recognize that low paying entry-level jobs could become larger career opportunities and place holders that can lead them to successful careers. We are preparing students for jobs and careers that do not exist today. I take the approach that students should be able to gain the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to become entrepreneurial in their thinking and their life regardless of their career choices.

In conclusion teaching is my life and passion. I believe that educators need a level of dedication and time commitment that goes beyond just a desire to teach, it takes time, energy and constant care.
