Welcome to the third week of BUSN 5200: Basic Finance for Managers. This week we will continue our study of finance by discussing:

• Getting information from Financial Statements

We will also continue our discussion of the Case Study of McDonald's Corporation. This week we will practice the techniques contained in this week’s lesson by finding out some information about McDonald's by looking at the company’s financial statements.

Objectives

By the end of this week, students will be expected to:

• Interpret the various accounts on income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Be able to extract basic information about the firm from the three basic financial statements
