If examinations or quizzes via paper are a part of your course and you are looking for an online solution, Canvas quizzes may be ideal.

Quizzes is the name given to Canvas' assessment tool. Quizzes deliver quizzes, exams, practice quizzes, and surveys. Liza Dister of the FDC recently took the time to lead a session on quizzes with faculty, below we are including some short video resources from these sessions:

Utilizing the quiz assessment option allows you to manage the delivery of your quiz, have the opportunity for a quiz to grade itself automatically, and to ensure students have the same experience, whether they are in the class or attending virtually. There are many ways to set up a quiz to maintain academic integrity such as shuffling answer options, quiz time limits, and using question banks that choose a given amount of questions from a pool to each user.
