Module 4: Overview

Living in the United States

In this module we will review non-academic aspects of living in the United States.  This module will help you to make decisions about housing and transportation, as well as provide some information about entertainment, food, and even what the weather is like in the location where you have opted to study. 

Goals and Objectives

By the end of this module, you will:

• Understand and secure health insurance
• Understand housing and transportation options to facilitate your study at your selected campus
• Have collected information on banking, food, entertainment, and the climate in the city where you will be living and studying
• Understand the rules and requirements for working while on an F or J visa
